World Vision – Amazing Mums

Last year, Javelin created a video for Mother’s Day entitled Mums the Word. This year, we were asked to update the video. To do this, we enlisted some new faces, including Game Of Thrones’ Liam Cunningham. The focus had changed since the previous year, so we had to figure out a way to make the existing content work alongside the new content and new focus. Midway through recording, I was ask to sit in front of the camera, which isn’t where my strengths lie.

The real success of this campaign lies in how it was released on social media. I was asked to write some possible scenarios for the so-called “thumb-stoppers”, settling on a simple trick of tapping the viewers screen. With over 1 million impressions, the campaign was a success in conveying the important work World Vision
